for all your mucking aroung you'd be better to drop a 3SGE in straight up. or a 5SFE. the kind of frankenstiening you want to do is not feasible. there are clearance issues with the head if i remember correctly.

as i am sure you understand the p plate laws in NSW i was trying to go for a more high reving linear power N/A and im well aware it wont be breathing fire but with enough oomph!!! to make the commodore and falcon guys blush. but if what you say is true well yes it is not a fesible idea. in the time it will take me to save the rest of money i will have my full lincense but i have two camry's and wanted both a N/A and a 3sgte so the missus can have the N/A when im done. so if some one can help me track done parts it would be much appreciated here's what i need

1.Camshafts(272degree minimum)
2.headers
3.a decent replacement ecu
4.TRD retainers
5.trd valve spings
6.modified intake chamber
7.lightened flywheel
8.knifed crank
money is not an issue have $6000 to spend so helpin source these parts would be a great help regards connor

None of that stuff is available for the 3s-fe. None of the 3s-gte internal head parts are compatible with the 3s-fe.

If all you want is a bit more power (115hp stock, you asked for 135-175hp):

Find a 5s-fe in good shape, put your 3s-fe intake manifold, distrubitor and wiring harness on it and put it in the car in place of the 3s-fe. Put in 5s-fe performance cams (there are a few companies that do regrinds, Webcams is one), but on a nice Celica 3s-fe or 5s-fe header, cold air intake and tune it with an SAFC or similar. You should be able to get about 140-150hp for a pretty good price. Anything more than that requries really major work, turbo, nitrous or a motor swap.

You're not allowed to do any engine performance modifications that require an engineers' certificate (says so on the RTA site). On top of that, insurance will go through the roof even if you do go ahead.

May as well just buy a cheap 90's commodore or falcon and have fun in that. Wait till you're fully licensed and then get a turbo car(or drop in the 3s GTE).

He's on his provisional license which = no turbo cars(except diesel). Also, the engine mounts may or may not be in the same location for the 5S - i don't know. XD Just throwing that out there.
