(?)Stalls if idle speed adjusted below 2000rpms. *Help

I recieved a '91 Camry LE V6 auto from my uncle not so long ago and this site has been awesome in providing me with all the ins and outs I could ever need to look up!

Though I encountered a problem, and have combed through threads and will definitely take to the suggestions made for idling issues so far but i havn't seen my exact problem so I'll lay it out there:

When I start the vehicle it will start up as usual but will not hold idle unless i hold down the gas. At this i decided to adjust the idle speed, which proves to idle only when adjusted to somewhere between 1500-2000rpm. And it's a rough idle at that. Adjusted any lower and it will just drop and stall.

Thank you very much for your time! Have a good weekend

Have a look at the rubber intake piping between the air filter box and throttle body, see if the pipe is left loose or torn open. And what's the milage of this vehicle?

^ along with what DaiFai said, check all vacuum hoses for cracks and breaks. It sounds like you have a major vacuum leak.

thank you both!
you were right on the money: upon further inspection i had a rediculous indiscrete crack/hole in my air intake hose. Got the part ordered and that is that

Until you get the new hose, clean the area with some alcohol and use duct tape to seal the crack. Remember, this is only a temporary fix.
