starting issue
i have a 1986 toyota pickup with the turbo diesel and am having some issues. i just bought the truck a week ago and it has been sitting since august last year. i recently pulled the starter thinking it needed to be rebuilt but worked fine when i bench tested it. so i threw it back in along with new batteries and a new egnition cylinder and the truck fired up no problems with no hesitation. it ran for five or so minutesthen i shut it of. i tried restarting it a few seconds after shutting it off and there was nothing but a click from the driver side engine compartment.the dash light s didn't even come on. we tested the batteries while the truck was running and the alternator was charging.if anyone has any ideas i would love to hear them.
all i want to do is get it running so i can have a vehicle for myself instead of driving the girlfriends car.
