can i put a 2vzfe without a knock sensor boss into a camry that previously had one?

just purchased a new long block and was surprised to find that i was sent one that has no boss for the knock sensor. i would just have them swap it but it was such a headache to just get here that i would like to go ahead and use it if there is any way possible for me to keep the check engine light from coming on. anyone know anything about this?

On the different engine we machined the "well" for it and bolted it to the empty threaded hole in the block;
You may have to remove the sensor ,attach wire to it and clamp it to the metal engine part making sure it will not rattle and making good metal to metal connection.
