Dont cut your springs. Buy some 200 dollar B+G lowering springs, or 190 dollar Intrax springs. Its the safest cheapest way.
WHATEVER YOU DO DO NOT BUY SPRING CLAMPS!!!!!! i did a lot of searching and found out they are really bad for your springs
1 its destroys the integrity of your springs!!
2 its not for all time use only temporary
3 very dangerous to take off!!!
4 dont give that much of a drop on your springs (22mm)
5 they suck and can easily come off during daily driving (pot holes, bumps etc!!)
i posted a thread about this subject not too long ago and found some springs for a good price just as JMSports has listed.. its worth it in the long run and give you what your looking for... i might buy myself some b+g springs very soon..
and your right coil overs are very horrible when it comes down to driving

well if you put any type of lowering springs the camber will be off.. your best choice is to get them aligned when you get them installed, unless you choose to DIY, then just add spacers or camber kit...
i say (Well atleast on my v6) 1.4 will do me good... int he front they say my v6 engine will weigh the springs down more than the i4 , and the back you wouldn't want to drop it too low cuz then you cant have much stuff or people in the back... in my case i have a system and a heavy box to compisate the height...
just google b+g springs.. they are kinda pricey but they will do the job better than any spring clamps or cutting the stoke springs
My setup that I will be selling consists of B+G springs on KYB GR2 struts. I'll probably let em all go for $250. When the time comes I'll let you all know. This setup is a nice drop for 17's.
