Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Here are some pics of the car with the newly installed wheels, 1/8" spacers in the rear. tell me what you guys think. Any suspension ideas? Tuck wheels or flush with camber? Thanks
Roll the rear fenders and step up to a 20mm spacer and it'll look great! In fact, you may not even need to roll the rear fenders with a 20mm spacer and that offset.

sry for jacking ur thread...lovve the camry tho, real sweet
i found these rims for sale..$250 but they need tires....
im wondering if they wud fit with out major modification...they are 17x7
those should work no problem man 205/40/17's would be a good tire for you imo and a drop would do well nicely as well.
I still gotta take my fender vents off and get some 20mm spacers for the rear(thanks for that idea btw) other than that, id like to get some sort of muffler (NOT ricey, but a nice low tone and a decent tone when in the higher rpm's any ideas of brands?
what kind of lips could i use for the front, sides and rear of the car instead of a full bodykit?
Your ride looks damned good, man. Post more pics when the vents are off and once you have the wider spacers on the rear...I think it'll be goodness.
I seem to recall that gen5 Celica GT-S struts will bolt-in, making for good ride quality with a moderate drop (you mentioned Intrax springs).
BTW, is the Camry a 3SFE or a 2VZ?

thanks for the input guys. keep it comin!!
Get a whole cat-back, 2.25" custom bent with a magnaflow resonator and magnaflow muffler and a nice double-walled tip. It'll look good and sound good.
All the decent looking lips/body kits are discontinued now.

I have stock exhaust up to the "over the rear axle" pipe. I basically hacked the muffler off and welded on a Dynomax super turbo muffler and tip. I like the sound. There is NO rasp and it has a nice gurgal when you let off. And a nice rumble at idle and just above. Sounds like a V6 Boat out of the water or with through hull exhaust. Just a light hum on the highway. There are different super turbo models I know it was the shorter one, I think that is the sport. It took about a year for it to really sound throty. I like it because it is a no baffle straight through design. It is like a S shaped glasspack. For sound profile the most important is the resonator under the car. Closer to the engine and longer the better this is what takes the rasp out. It is like a filter, the short length waves (high pitch) can't make it through as easy without being muffled. But the long length waves make it through with just a little attenuation. Then the muffler in the back is a repeat of this and depending on design will affect the sound volume the most, and also help taylor the sound profile. I had a tercel with two glasspacks, 24". One under the car as right after the down pipe and one in the stock muffler spot. The car wasn't too loud and it had no rasp, a nice medium buzz.
