coil specs out of range??

i bought a low end ignition coil replacement[Standard/Trutech] and was checking its primary and secondary output...its a 91 2.0 3sfe...the book says primary should be 0.38-0.46ohms and the secondary 7.7-10.4 k/ohms...anyway,this new coil is reading 1.5 ohms[primary] and 10.65[secondary]...is the high reading on the primary going to damage anything?? thx, mike

if i were you i'd return it. if this ends up being the "gremlin" later on, you don't want to second-guess yourself. I dont know the specs for the 4banger offhand but you were smart to test it first.

i called Rockauto about the coil being defective and they gave a full refund..they dont want it returned, probably because they dont want to pay for the shipping....i'd recommend staying away from the lower end products as they carry quite a range to choose.
