camry water leak

I have a 89 camry and just noticed a water leak coming from the passenger's side rear tailight lens. water is somehow coming in and settling in where the brakelight turn signal light bulb pigtail connector is (white plastic housing), when i open the trunklid water comes from this white plastic bulb housing. When looking for the leak with a garden hose I cannot duplicate what mother nature brings (rain). I took off tailight lens looking for a bad gasket but everything looks good, nothing is missing and gasket looks old but still very much in tact. This lens is the one that is attched to the trunk lid.

I have to same problem which side is it on? on my camry i dont a gasket i think it coming thro the tar like stuff
