Flashing AC Light?

I did some AC work on my 90 Wagon a week ago. I replaced a bunch of orings. Charged it and was done. Worked fine about a week and a half. Went last night to go eat with some friends. Got on the interstate about half way there only 20miles the ac went warm. I looked at the button and it was flashing.

We ate, and started to go home for the hell of it I tired the ac. And it worked the whole way home. And all today?

Anyone know what the light means? Hard Fault? It seems fine now. No unusual noises?

It may mean the compressor stopped turning. It could be as simple as the belt slipping or it could mean the compressor is locking up. Start by checking the belt for tension.

When this happened to me it was the A/C compressor clutch. It is probably an intermittant fault at this point, but plan on a new compressor or clutch for the compressor....

It could also be a fault with refrigerant levels/pressures...

Tighten up the belt a bit. New belts (especially aftermarket ones) have a tendancy to stretch out a bit after a few hundred miles of use.

Thats wierd because my clutch in the compressor was bad and my light never flashed. It was a bit wierd because after i took the compressor out the light seemed like it didnt work for a week, but now it works again.

P.S. As of 5 minutes ago ITS MY BIRTHDAY. 19 baby.
