2nd Generation Mother F#*ker...

last night at work i did a very stupid thing....... going on 24+ hours being awake.... i was driving around and my brake light came on.... figured i should top off the fluid (my oil was already low) so i go to the trunk and get the brake fluid out and a half a quart of oil i keep in the back..... top off the brake fluid... then i took the oil cap off and started to pour in the "oil"... with it not bieng too well lit... i caught the light just right and noticed that the liquid i was pouring into my engine was red....... F#*k me....... with me being sleep deprived it took a couple of seconds for me to relize what i did....
i ended up pouring about a half a quart of tranny fluid into the motor....

WHAT DO I DO???

i never started it.... do i just drain the oil and replace it and a new filter???

someone told me i could "run it" and it would just clean out my motor, then flush it and replace???

after i drain it what do i use to flush the remaing tranny fliud out of the motor???

thanks ahead....
The Dumbass

It's not that big of a deal. Many people pour a quart of tranny fluid into a old motor to try to free up stuck lifters.. Just change your oil and you will be fine nothing to worry about.

I never knew that tranny flued had such cleaning properties. I need to do an oil change now on mine I guess I'll drop a lil tranny fluid in there let it idle for a bit then swap it out.

Its perfectly fine, just do an oil change in the next few hundred miles like others have said.

Trans fluid is similar to motor oil, but just doesn't handle heat as well. It has many more detergents in it to clean and hold particles though.
