Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I was looking around on the net and stumbled upon pictures of Camrys in Canada, and noticed that they apparently were offered with JDM type steering wheels that didn't resemble the US version wheels in the least. I know that the JDM Camrys had cool options and stuff that we never got here, as well as the different looking wheel, but did Canada get this wheel as well? Anyone up for shining some light on this one?
If your talking about this steering wheel I believe it was available in the European markets like Australia and most of Europe I don't believe that it was offered in Canada but I could be wrong. A picture would help a lot to identify which wheel your talking about. Hope this helps
This is the steering wheel that I have in my JDM Camry 2.0ZX
This is the steering wheel in my Australian Camry Executive Wagon (pardon the odd colors...I had to get another steering wheel; but its from another Australian Camry)
So; both Australian camry's and JDM camry's both have the JDM steering wheel
zomg, power windows and mirrors; JEALOUS! Darkram, do you think you can take a picture of the foot-pedal-handbrake on your JDM? I still don't get how it works xD

You pull this lever to release the foot brake.
You push the far left pedal to apply the foot brake.
When you release the foot brake, the pedal pops forward ready for you to press on it...when you apply the foot brake; it clicks (like a normal handbrake) and moves inwards.
Sweet, thanks man! That's soooo cool, gotta love JDM stuff!!!! Oh yeah, and you have that powered rear Venetian blind. You make me want to get one!!!

Just a quick return to the steering wheel question: every 2nd gen Camry I have ever seen in Canada (hundreds, I worked at a wreckers for several years) has had the two-spoke style steering wheel in your pics. They're alright, but they crack badly from sun damage.
And as far as power windows and locks go, it's pretty rare to find a 2ng gen without them...I believe only the base model got the manual set up.
