If starter hums and getting hot, disconnect the battery and try to rotate engine clockwise at the crank bolt. If engine does not spin, the tranny should come out to verify that torque converter cut-outs are properly engaged with front pump drive.
If you were removing the flexplate check the spacers on the crank flange.[if switched around, the TC will be pushed to the pump drive preventing it from rotation].

And just so you know, this is the wrong Section for you. You have a 92 Camry so your better off posting in the corresponding section. (Gen 3)

This section is for Gen 1 and Gen 2 Camrys. Although we still like to help here!

spacer-flexplate-spacer- bolts or flexplate-spacer-bolts without spacer between the flange and flexplate;

okay guys, motor does not turn by hand, i took off the trans, and there are two shafts, on big and one small on the trans, the bigger one goes over the smaller one, i tried turning the bigger geared shaft and it does not turn at all, i tried putting it in different gears but no go, the small shaft spins freely but the big one doesn't, does this mean the trans is shot?

The big splinned shaft is not supposed to turn [hence the name"stator shaft"]
you need to inspect the cutouts in the torque converter for damage and you also need to make sure the torque coverter cut outs are the same on old and new one.

torque converter was the one that came with the new trans. im thinking the flexplate shifted when i put the torque converter and trans on, so looks like i'll have to take it apart again! ccutouts looks to be fine

The number and size of spacers under the flexplate may be different between JDM and american market cars. it can be very good idea to check the distance between tranny mounting flange and torque converter to flexplate mounting pads using staight edge and ruller on old and replacement tranny.www.camrystuff.com , gen 3, , AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE – ASSEMBLY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION page
AX1–27; figure 2
"Using a scale and a straight edge, measure from the
installed surface to the front surface of the transaxle
housing.
Correct distance:
13.0 mm (0.51 in.) or more"
