I am new to these forums, so hello to everyone. I am having an issue with my Camry. It is a 1991 3sfe with an automatic transmission. It has about 160k miles. When I start it, the idle is fine and right where it should be. As soon as I put it into drive, or anything other than Park or Neutral, the idle drops really low. It sounds as if the car is about to die. I checked the always fragile hose between the MAF and the throttle body, but I found no cracks. I took off the hose, and made sure the TB was clean and not obstructed. Any ideas on what it might be? Thanks in advance for any advice/help.
