A/c Full automatic feature

I was looking at some specifications for the camry, features it carried and stuff. and i came across this full automatic a/c feature, and i see it in my camry on the a/c control console. it has auto marked on it with a picture of a fan blade and stuff. how is it different from using the "hi 1,2,3 or 4" buttons? does it automatically adjust when it gets to a certain temp or something?

oh i never even knew that. to be honest all it does is blow on hi when i switch it on. i'm wondering if it's supposed to do something else.

Auto could mean that the fan speed will be adjusted automatically or it could automatically attempt to maintain the desired temperature.
