88 Camry Clanking While Accelerating

I have an 88 Camry wagon with a five speed manual transmission. I've noticed a clunking noise coming from the front. The noise was faint at first, then got much louder over the last few days. Today the clunking turned into a very, very loud clunking accompanied by a jerking. The front wheels appear to be lunging forward. This all only happens when in gear and accelerating. It does not happen when in neutral and revving the engine, it also does not happen when rolling with the clutch disengaged. Sorry if this has been answered before, I tried searching, but didn't find anything. Thank you.

Yup, been answered before. I can almost guarantee it is your lower control arm to swaybar bushings. You can get a pair of rebuilt, loaded arms on eBay for cheap.

also check the bushings in the brackets at both front corners, JAD has a problem with the caravans on the inner tripod drive axle joint wearing out and we call it the watermelon crawl when you hit the gas it shakes your teeth out, check your axles real good
