coolant sensor???

Under, and to the side a bit of dist. there is a block that has several coolant temp control items. Two being emissions, or BSVS and two appear to be coolant sensors. I purchased one of the coolant sensors that is mounted vert. closes to the nut that you lossen to adjust timing. There is another that is mounted horz., or facing me if I am standing in front of the car, on the same block. What is the proper name for this sensor so that I can have the auto parts guy look it up? We looked under coolant sensor but it only list the one I purchased already. Tried coolant switch, but that's not it either.

From my manual, there are 2 horizontal sensors; one being the EGR(exhaust gas recirculation) BVSV and the thermotime switch. I think you're referring to the latter

The timer for the cold start injector (called the cold start time switch) should be under a brown colored connector. The one that feeds temperature to the ECU should have a green colored connector.
