I actually like using the tire manufacturers recommended. You should be able to find it on the sidewall of your tire. I'm running kumo kr21 and they recommend 44 psi as opposed to Toyota's 35psi but you can always mess around with it and chose what suits the car best.

The 35psi sounds like it... The figure on my tires sidewalls say 44 psi... which in my opinion... seems a bit much... but i wanted what toyota recommended for this specific vehicle... cuz tire manufactueres don't necessarily know what car i'm putting their tires on....

Lol, my tyre placard on the drivers side door says 28psi xD

I inflate the fronts to 42psi and the rears to 40psi.

I imagine u get a pretty bumpy ride... ?? Altho u probably save more fuel due to less rolling resistance...

I suppose, but it's balanced out by my extremely soft springs that have creped over time. It's so bad that when i have 3 or more people in the car, it looks lowered and the wheels just sit in the wheel arch.

I know what u mean... mines isn't that bad... but i know the springs are pretty fatigued... If i were to use Celica coilovers... would i use the ones from the same year as my Camry...? or can any from the ST180 series work..?

My door pillar says 32 psi front 28 psi rear and I try to maintain the tires at those pressures year round. I should add that I'm usually the only one in the car and when I schlep my GF around she only weighs 100 lbs and for the most part the trunk is empty.

To those recommending the tire sidewall pressures: Isn't that the tire manufacturer's maximum inflation pressure? I'd rather follow what Toyota says but technology is constantly improving and what Toyota said was optimal when our cars were designed and now could be like apples and oranges.

The "max" pressure listed on the tire sidwall is the maximum RECOMMENDED cold inflation pressure. Meaning, it is safe to run that pressure any time.

You can run anywhere from the pressure listed on your door panel (anywhere from 28-32psi, depending on model, trim, engine, body type, etc) up to the max pressure of your tire, usually in the mid-40's.

I ran the 14's on my Alltrac around 40psi and got better gas mileage and better handling as a result. The ride was a bit harsher than at the recommended 30psi all around for the car.
