2004 Camry Suspention upgrade?
Hello All, And thank you in advance for your knowledge and expertise on this subject. I have searched the forums and cannot find the information I am looking for. So here is the deal, Mom has a 2004 Camry 4cyl I need to figure how to get he mobility scooter on the back of the thing. I have pruchased a hitch that I will need to modify to accept a 2" insert. My qustion is about the rear suspention, The guy at the mobility place (biggest ripoffs since enron) suggested that I have the rear suspension modified, He said he has a guy ( NO DOUBT) That will strech the springs on the struts. I am not sure if this is nessasary. The lift weighs a solid 200LBS and with the scooter on it I figure a gross of about 300LBS, But with going over not so smooth roads the accual down force can excede that a lot. What can I do to beef it up a bit? is this even nessasary? any and all suggestions are welcome and thanks again.
