2nd Generation Suspension clunk and weight shift clunking

I have a clunking sound coming from only the passanger side on a 91 camry.

You hear the sound when going over bumps as well as when the car weight shifts from back to front. While stopped, giving it a little gas then braking again will cause the clunking sound.

Pushing down on the suspension/car the shocks feel firm and dont bounce.

The transmission does have a leak, can it be something tranny related? Bushings? What things should I take a look at.

Thanks

Are you sure it's not suspension related? For instance, the control arm bushing, stabilizer bar bushing, ball joints, strut mount etc. My gen 2 makes clunking noises on the passenger side too sometimes when it goes over rough terrain & I'm pretty sure it's my ball joint worn on that side. But seeing as my car's a '90, i'm just replacing all the lower front suspension parts ie. bushings ball joints, tie rod end etc. I'd say visually inspect it first. You can usually spot worn and deteriorating bushings under there.

The more I think about it, it has to be suspension related. I gotta check out the bushings closer this time.

There's a chance that it is the shocks. They make funky noises when they are worn.
