what size is the speaker in the front of my 89 camry

does anyone know the exact size of the factory front speakers in the 89 camry?

I've heard that it's 4". I took 'em out and measured 'em at 3.5".

what size speakers did u guys put up in front in yer Gen2 Camry..?

I hear they are 4 inches as well, did you take off the dash to remove the speakers? The back are 6' i think, but i fitted 6.5'.

i put a 4" up front...the mouting holes didnt fit perfectly so i made a lil bracket out of some metal strip and theres no problem...

I think the front speakers are 3.5" with a 4" passive radiator.

Rears are 5 1/4", but you can mount a 6.5" with some modifications.

If you want better sound up front ditch the stock speakers and build a set of door panels.

I'd love to do that 88LE, but unlike u i dont have powerwindows so i'm stuck on makin sure i can still use the window winder after....argh...

Where are your wires from speakers on the door to the rest of the car? I like the door panels, i just dont see a place to run the wires.

The wires run through the rubber boot / grommet in between the door and the car.

Crossovers are stashed underneath the dash.
