2nd Generation Screwy Interior Electronics

Okay so I've got a few problems with my interior electronics.

1- My interior dome light, when I switch it to ON, it's fine (there's a small delay for when it comes on though)..but when i switch it to DOOR, it is a little finnicky... sometimes it'll come on (after like.. 2 or 3 seconds) and it'll be pretty dim..dimmer than the ON position is.. what could be causing this?

2- My A/C fan speed control only works on the FULL BLAST setting.. could there be some dirty circuit contacts in there that i need to pull out and clean off??

Thanks for all your help

1. Try checking the door switch or switches for rust and corrosion. Clean up the rust on each one and use some dielectric grease to keep the problem from returning.

2. You most likely have a bad "blower motor resistor". Do a search for that term and read up on the problem and it's simple replacement. It has been covered numerous times on this forum.
