power steering pressure hose leak

i have an 89 camry 3SFE with a leaking high pressure hose. I'm looking for some advise on how to disconnect it from the pump. i can get a crowsfoot on the top bolt but it just spins the entire banjo fitting. What is the best way to hold the bottom nut so i can get the top bolt to unscrew?

search "power steering pressure hose" the first result will be this thread and the one below will be the one i looked at. You will need to have a dremel (and a lot of patience) to cut the old hose but you can do it without raising the car. you will also need compressed air or something else to blow away the chips from cutting the hose. hope this helps!

I think many will agree that before attempting to remove this hose it would be suggested to consider pour copious amounts of flammable liquid into the interior and exterior of the vehicle and then throw a lit road flare into the open window. This will save you a lot of time and frustration in attempting to remove the hose and end up coming to the same conclusion as stated in the first suggestion...

(Oh, you have the 3sfe...piece of cake; weep for us owners of the 2vzfe)

If you think its hard on a FWD Camry, you should try it on an Alltrac Camry... the transfer case sits right there below it - you have even less access that way.

The above examples are of "design for assembly" vs. "design for maintenance ".
