Cruise Control?

After a recent visit to the junkyard.. i saw about 4 automatic Camrys with cruise control units in them... is it possible to pull these units.. and put them in my 5 speed camry? Would all i need to pull be the unit, the button.. and the cables?

a lot more parts than you'd think... i don't think it's worth the trouble.... probbly need the rotors too and the speed sensor... and the cruise off button on the clutch pedal so the motor won't blow when you step on the clutch when cruise is on... pretty sure it's not pre-wired for it also so u'd need the harness behind the cruise button also..

yeah i guess you're right... dang. I'm someone who uses cruise control A LOT (my other car is a 2004 SAAB 93 2.0t ) and i'm very reliant on it sometimes.. oh well.. looks like it's back to watching my speed.

I know the cruise control system is complicated but can anyone tell me the common things that can cause it to stop working? I remember it worked once many years ago when I tested it but I haven't used it since because I didn't drive it much. The vaccum hoses look good and so is the little Cruise fuse...
