84 blower motor resistor location? Gen1

I've searched this site and got alot of info but I still can't locate the resistor. I'm not sure since it is a gen1 is it in a different location? Any help with location and/or pictures of it would be greatly appreciated.

It should be up under the dash on the passenger side. It will have 1 electrical connector going to it and 1 phillips screw holding it in.

Fuel gauge light

I have 84 camry and when the fuel gauge gets below 1/4 of a tank the light turns on pretty quick. So I fill the tank up and it only gets 10 gallons in it. So that is telling me there is still 6 gallons in it. Is this common for being so old? Is there a way to check this or fix it? Any comments greatly appreciated.
