Have you checked out your battery? May just be in need of a replacement or it could be that you may need to replace your cold start valve. Hope this helps

hope i can help with this...

faulty cold start valve... no start.. flooring the pedal usually fires it up... then u'll be more certain if it is...

slow or weak turnover or clicking while starting... ...battery/charging at fault...

I'm assuming it's an EFI, so doing this:

Won't really do much as the coolant temp sensor makes the a/f mixture richer by using the cold start injector too. That will only help if the IAC isn't working properly.

Have you cleaned the throttlebody and the IAC? Replaced the air filter?

Check the cold start time switch. It's what activates the cold start injector. They go bad quite often as they get old. It's the sensor under the brown plastic connector on the water port, just to the right of the cylinder head, as you are standing in front of the engine. You will need the specs from any manual and a digital volt/ohmeter to do this. If you don't have a manual you can download one for free at the top of the Camry forum over at AutomotiveForums.com. Download the generation 2 factory service manual.

I had a cold start injector time switch break in half on me! Luckily, its an easy replacement (and I had an extra working switch on a 3s-fe in my garage...).

With engine cold, remove the connector from cold start injector. Attempt to start the engine. If the engine starts after two or three cranks, inspect cold start injector time switch connector

This used to happen to me with my 89 Camry and I changed all the filters (oil, air, fuel) and gave it an oil change, changed the plugs and made sure the battery connections were not corroded. (use a mix of baking soda and water and clean the terminals as well as the wire connections, inspect wires for corrosion)

It can sometimes be little things that have sat for too long that cause these sorts of things. Mine had sat for a year with no maintenance before I got it so all this had to be done.
