if you do the work yourself probbly free !!!! ... but at a shop ?? i'd say take it them to a transmission shop since they remove/put back transmission all day anyways.... i'd say 200$ + parts might as well replace the main rear seal while you're in there

The transmission problem with the '90 might be shift cables or something easy. Of course, it might also be a shift fork that would require the trans to be rebuilt/replaced.

Ask around to a few shops to see what they say.

Many of us here to our own work, so shop prices are a bit of an unknown.
