Seat belt buzzer wont go off.

i recently installed a radio in my womans 89 camry. i had to remove a few things i moved aside the center console where i believe the issue originates from. ever after this install the car has been beeping non stop until the battery completely dies. i was able to take a look at the car a few weeks after and found that the seat belt emergency release indicator on the center console was unplugged. i re connected it and bam the beeping sound was gone but i heard a clicking sound which i believe was the auto seat belts trying to retract although they are broken. i took apart the center console again to further investigate. i unplugged the indicator again and the beeping came back. once i was tired of investigating i plugged everything back up and the beeping still continued even with the indicator plugged in. i dont know whats going on with this car and cant find any wiring diagrams. i attached a jumper wire to the plug for the indicator and the beep doesnt stop. any one have this problem? can someone help me fix this?

No power should make it to the seatbelt buzzer (or really anything else in the interior) if the key is correctly removed from the ignition switch.

Are you pushing the black button above the key to finish rotating the key all the way back before removing? On most gen2 Camrys, you can just pull the key out anytime, so many people mess it up (at least, if they are just borrowing the car or something).

Does it still beep when the car is on?

Is it the beep for the key being left in when the door is open, or the been when the seatbelt 'unlock' lever is up? There are two different beepers for the seatbelt system from two different control boxes...

with the key in the ignition or out with the car running and off i get this beep. the emergency release lever is down and all components plugged in. this all started after i tried removing the center console. it was caused initially by a disconnected warning light in the center console. after it was plugged in the sound was gone. after that i disconnected it and reconnected but the sound came back.
