2nd Generation rear folding seat repair

i broke the release pin for the passenger side rear folding seat the other day when i folded it down and it snapped off. i removed the screws from the back of the seat but im still un-able to remove the back panel of the seat to get to the "lock" is there a trick to this?

parts needed are the plastic pin that you pull to release the seat, and the metal rod that it attaches to. i want to go to the dealer as a last resort.

That's a bummer. I lost the plastic pins too, but i still have that screw/rod to pull on. Good luck with your findings as the same one that is giving you grief is a bit loose for me too

yep. its probally the first dumb thing ive found in this car because when you fold the seats down, you have to have them all the way forward almost to not hit that plastic pin upon folding the seat. i just want to know how to get the seat apart then i can get the parts from the dealer
