The fact that you're even asking this question - deep down I think you know what the answer is.

These and more!!!...

each of these pcs have unbelievable specs and are so dependant on each other. I'm not exactly sure how it works but I admit, I regret flooring my car.

Firstly, invest in a Haynes manual. Secondly, taking into considerationt he age of your car - answer me this question. When was the last time the cars tranny fluid was flushed? what? Did you say "I don't know"? Spend the $100 on a tranny flush and refill with synthetic.

Just as I suspected. Pick-up your local yellow pages and make a few phone calls. Ask specifically for a flush not just a reg. drain and refill. In a flush, clean tranny fluid is cycled and vacuumed through the entire tranny until it comes out absolutely clean the other end.

If you can stick around at the shop while they are doing the tranny fluid , ask to see the tranny fluid filter and the fluid pan. If you look carefully, you'll see metal filings caught on the filer. In addition, the pan was several magnets strategically placed on the bottom to collect finer metal particals. You'll be surprised at what you see!
You're right. Synth. fluid doesn't lose viscosity and it's lubing properties as much as reg. fluid under high temps. This is a good thing. I even went as far as installing an external tranny cooler 'cause I'm sooo paranoid now;

My tranny probs are well documented here. If you do a search under "tranny" posted by me you can read all about it. I'm sort of a trany lobbyist/advocate now :wink:
The flush shouldn't take more than about an hour or so. Let us know how it goes. You're more than welcome. If I can save just one tranny I have fulfilled my purpose in life :grin:
