3SGTE Injectors in Camry? (And control arm bolts)

Well I'm replacing the ones on mine (clogged from debris - my fault hah)

And know a guy who has his set when he upgraded (he has a 3SGTE), was wondering if I could just swap mine with his?

I know they all share similar blocks, but I dunno about the fuel rail.

And about the control arm bolts, I thought they would be EXTREEMEELY tight, got out my 550ft/lb impact wrench (550 at 90psi, I ran it at 120), and cracked them... And then I threw them out the next day without noticing what they were - bad memory.

Anyone know what bolt I should be looking for?

OBTW - Random question, I lost the wire connecting to the "Solenoid" (I'm guessing) on the starter, ground is connected to tranny, and the + wire is bolted onto the starter termianal - but the little clip slot above it has nothing, somebody told me I could just start it by putting a wire from the + terminal to inside the clip... any info? Can I do that just to turn it over and make sure the junkyard motor I bought actually turns over?

i'm sure they'll fit but it will be squirting in more fuel than the 3sfe ones.

not sure about the bolt not sure why you had to take them off. best bet would be to get another from another camry.

and yes you can jump the starter that way

3s-gte injectors will not work on the 3s-fe. They have the wrong flow rating, wrong shape and wrong impedance. Send your original injectors of to Witchhunter, RC engineering or any other place that cleans/flows tests injectors to get them fixed. Its like $20 per injector...

Go to the dealer and order the bolts. They should be a few bucks each (ok possibly more than a few bucks). Don't risk your suspension on hardware store hardware.

Yes, +12V to the smaller terminal of the starter will cause the starter to turn over (using power from the main wire). Where could the wire have gone? It should be right there in the harness!

Ok fine, I'm also trying to build up a Camry while I was at it, and the original injectors were trash, and since I was gonna see how much a 3SFE could take boost, I knew the injectors wouldn't flow enough...

I was hoping for the 550cc 3SGTE injectors. I would need high impedence (high ohm... I think about 13.8/14 right?) injectors, correct?

Those injectors are way too big to be run by the 3s-fe ECU. They also need to be top-feed, not side-feed. I'll say it again... 3s-gte injectors won't work.

If you are going to upgrade the injectors, you probably want non-turbo Supra injectors or something similar in the 300-360cc range. There are a few other stock Toyota injectors that also are in that range. Keep in mind you will need a piggy-back or or some other way to control those larger injectors.

Pushing the limits on the 3s-fe will get you around what a stock 3s-gte will do... And will cost as much as a motor swap and you'll be left with an unreliable motor. Make sure you really want to go down that path before you start.

Just get your clogged injectors serviced by a good injector shop and you should be good to go. It is always best to stick with the original injectors until you actually need more fuel than they can deliver.
Toyota's use Denso injectors and they will usually last a long time before any need replacing. I have serviced quite a few sets with over 500k miles on them and most all clean up to within a couple percent of each other.
