No gen2 Camry had ABS standard. It was optional on '90 and '91 models only on the LE trim level, I believe - possibly only on the Alltrac and V6 models as they were the only ones with disks all around.

Are you actually braking hard enough to lock up the front tires on a regular basis? That's the only way ABS could reduce tire wear.

Otherwise, fix your suspension - tie rods, ball joints, A-arm bushings, wheel bearings and alignment are all important.

2nd Generation worst driving camry ever

yes i lock up my brakes atleast once a week.....lmao..... if you aint driving 30+ over the speed limit.... you aint really driving..... plus my whole suspension is shot, no power steering, bad brakes, alignment (i hold the steering wheel @ 90 degrees just to drive stiraght).......

i know my driving style doesnt help but the car is indestructable.....

my question was for the next car i get which i plan on treating a little better.... this car is non repairable, so im just driving it till it blows....

cant kill this thing and i really am trying..... cant wait to post videos of me driving... im pretty sure my camry is the worst driving camry ever

Hah hah, you kill me! I don't think I've ever driven the way you do...

As for the ABS feature, it was also optional on the V6 LE models (US and Canada) as well as the V6 station wagons...one of the sensors on mine went about 6 months after I bought the car in 2003, so I removed the idiot bulb for ABS on the dash...if you can drive properly, you don't need ABS.

You might want to check to see that the rear brakes are in proper adjustment. Many people do not use parking brake and this allows rear brakes to not adjust for wear.
