Brake Bleeder?

I am having trouble finding the nut that i need to loosen to bleed the left rear drum...I had no trouble finding it on the right one, but I can't seem to find one on the left drum. Does anyone have a photo or suggestion? 1990 Camry

It's in basically the same location as the other side...if you can't find it, it may have been sheared-off at some point in the shady past. Have you removed the brake drum and inspected the cylinder from the inside?

Hmmm, I'm afraid it may have sheared off then. No, I haven't taken it apart yet, should I?

The only reason I suggest removing the drum is that you never know with parts--there's a tiny chance that it's an aftermarket wheel cylinder with a different bleeder set-up. Probably not, but it can't hurt to be sure.

The good news, if it is shorn-off, is that these cylinders are dirt cheap to replace. And if you're bleeding the lines anyways then you're half-way there! Just be careful disconnecting the steel line from the cylinder bore--if you don't take care you can twist the line (especially if the fitting is rusted).
