I have no experience taking these motors apart so I may be wrong but if it's anything like my 302 was, when I took it apart, I just removed the bolt in the end and then had someone hold the gear while I LIGHTLY pounded the crankshaft with a mallet and a screwdriver(or other tool which can rest on the crank while you hit the other end)
