Smoked Tail/Head Lights

I wanted to find out info on smoked tail and head lights. I personally really like the look of them, what I wanted to know first of all is legality (I am in Arizona). Second I wanted to know if it is possible to get them smoked but still retain the same brightness as I have now? And finally what kinda cost would be involved?

its called vht night shade. from orileys.
idk how good it'll work on our headlights though, them being glass and all.
but here's my tailights when i did it.

as far as legalness. i never get bothered with it.
it makes them pretty dim. but you will still be able to be seen.

Its easy/cheap to do - and quite illegal. You may or may not get hassled with it though.

There is no way you will maintain the same brightness (and required reflectivity) with any sort of smoked lights.
