2001 Camry Louder at 30-40mph? - Toyota Nation Forum : Toyota Car and Truck Forums

My automatic Camry runs great, no problems, and actually low miles (about 50,000). But it's much louder inside the car when I'm driving between 30-40 mph. Any ideas? Thanks!

Are you talking about wind noise coming in to the passenger compartment, or engine type noise? If engine type noise I would check the heat shields underneath the car tht are covering the exhaust system. These heat shields can become loose and vibrate at various engine RPM's. 30-40 mph might be the right engine rpm to cause the vibration. It can also be the exhaust sytem itself vibrating at that rpm.
