Hey folks...

Anyone know of decent not-too-flashy kits for Gen2 (1987-91) camrys? I know Erebuni makes a body kit for the gen2, but it's not too much my style.. I'm more or less looking for something that was like the kit Kaminari made (pictures still at http://www.kaminari.com/camry.htm), but they say it's not available anymore

The nice thing about that Kaminari kit was that it replaced the whole bumper, which I kinda liked...

Anyone have any ideas or recommendations?

Thanks in advance,

Kam

hey man... just my opinion but i reckon the erubini kit looks better...

that kit there looks a bit dated. u know...

I've got a Gen 2 and i'd definitely prefer the erubini kit.

Yeah... the only reason I really wanted the Kaminari was because it was a full bumper replacement...

As far as I can tell, the Erebuni is just a bunch of skirts that attach to the stock bumper.. can anyone else confirm this?

Thanks

The Erebuni bodykit is a lip-type bodykit. It uses the original bumpers and bolts over it. The Kaminari one that no one makes anymore was a full bumper replacement.

I have the erebuni kit and yes it's a lip kit that bolts onto the stock bumpers. I'm going to modify my rear bumper and put an exhaust cut out. The thing about the rear bumper is that imo it needs some sort of wing to make the rear complete or the car needs to be slammed. Conveniently both things I plan to get done this year.

I bought mine new from erebuni about 2 years ago. When I got it they told me in was the last one they would be making because obviously it wasn't selling.lol I also asked them if I could buy the mold and they told me no it would be getting destroyed.

have no fear though guys. If there is a demand I'd be more than willing to make copies of mine since I know people down here that can make the molds. However I would make the future ones out of urethane or atleast the front bumpers out of urethane since it can take a bit more abuse than fiber glass. Although I must say the fiberglass is holding up very well to the slight abuse I've been giving it.
