Water Issues

I have 2nd gen Camry (1989) and recently I've noticed that there is water leaking on the inside in a few places. The first is in the spare wheel well in the trunk. A pool of water seems to collect there, but everywhere else in the trunk is dry, including the sides. I even dried it out and sent it through a car wash. Water collected in the wheel well, but nowhere else. There is no rust on the exterior of the car.

Another area where the water is collecting is underneath the carpet on the left side of the car in both the front drivers and rear seat areas. I'm not sure if this is related to the trunk, but I tried using a blow dryer on the carpet and this worked for about a minute before the carpet soaked up more water.

I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced water issues similar to mine and how it was fixed or if you have any suggestions about what I can do in the meantime?

Take out the rubber grommet in the wheel well. That'll drain it and give it some ventilation. It's most probably your boot lid seal that's letting water in.

Can't help with the LHS of the car. Maybe the drainers in the door are blocked? or the door seal itself is stuffed?

You are probably going to have to start removing interior parts of the car until you can figure out where the water is coming from.

Possibilities:
Door seals
Rear quarter window
Trunk Seal
Outer tail light seal
Sunroof (if equiped)

See if you can spot a 'clean' trail from somewhere that water dripping in would cause.

I just found out that I have a leak somewhere in my Alltrac... It doesn't seem to leak with a high-pressure car wash, but sitting there (or driving, not sure) in last week's torrential rains in SoCal caused about 1/2" of water in the rear wheel well... I know the tail lights are sealed but everything else is a possibility still.

Also, the front and rear footwells are connected, so the leak could be in the front or the rear for that one.

Sometimes the body sealant around the rear quarter pannel spotwelds has cracks and water finds it's way in the trunk (Saw this on full size domestic car)
