Preamp voltage, 00 Solara
Hey everyone, I have a friend who has a 00 Solara, v6 MT and she is looking to change out the stock headunit with a aftermarket one. I've been reading around on some units from Pioneer and Kenwood but they seem to have only 2.2v preamp outs unless we step up to the Z series (Pioneer).......which then has 4V preouts.
Some people were reviewing the 2.2v units and saying that when installed in their Toyota vehicles, the sound was very weak.......something about Toyota needing at least 5v preouts.
Is this true or will we be alright going with a 2.2v preout?
Ultimately we're not looking to do anything crazy as she doesnt go around slamming bass or pounding music.
Any input would be appreciated
