USA Parts Help

Hey guys, just wondering if you might tell me where I can find a few parts for a newly aquired 1990 4 cyl. camry. I would like to find a header that will fit. Cold air intake, or just find out how to switch to the cone style. Also does anybody make a nice peformance muffler w/o the noise? Any help would be greatly apreciated. Also how much HP might I expect to gain with the filter and header.

Not much(increase in power) if any. Maybe better throttle response, but that's about it. Easiest way to put a pod filter on is to buy an adaptor (to fit onto the AFM) and then have it sit in the engine bay. Otherwise you're going to have to DIY for a CAI.

As for headers, i;ve heard that you can put 3S-GE headers from Celica's in.

I thought the 3S-GE in the Celica is a 1.8 Are the exhaust ports the same?

IIRC, all 3S engines are 2L. The GE headers should line up with the exhaust ports on the FE block, or so i've read on this forum. Btw, i'm referring to the older Celica's, almost on par with our Camry's (late 80's to mid 90's) in terms of age.

Nothing on the intake side is going to do much good because you already have a cold air intake that is way too big already, modding a v6 model airbox to fit the air meter is all you need, now the exhaust side is another story, I put a 3SGE manifold off a celica and a turbo muffler and wow did it bulk up, 2.5 inch pipe all the way with no cat, its louder than stock but nothing like a fart pipe. A no buck trick is take the airbox out and pull the resonator and the through the fender little tube out and trash them and make the hole in the airbox bigger with a saw and silicone it to the fender for a seal
