2nd Generation power steering stiff sometimes during turning

Hey fellow 1&2 gen owners, I have Rack boot torn but waittt. Basically the steering wheel turns but there is a lot of resistance every few dials, like as if there are air pockets. The PS fluid is leaking but the reservoir is not moving. I think there's a clog somewhere? I'm thinking the problem is bigger than just a torn boot right? What do?

It sounds like you have damage or debris in your steering rack. Is it repeatable where the resistance happens? (like every 1/3 or a turn or something)

Hey, well it went away. I'm guessing the debris fell out of the huge gash in the boot. It's time for a new boot.
