1990 Camry passenger door lock stuck

Hello, i own a 1990 Camry V6 LE. The passenger door lock is stuck in the locked position. This means i am unable to open the door at all.I have tried using a key, the power locks, and simply pulling the lock up, nothing works. I am not sure what to do. Any ideas?

You can't take the inner door panel off with the door closed without ruining it.

This would sometimes happen on my '90 base model... try pulling up on the outer door handle all the way and letting it it slam back down - that would loosen it on my car. Sometimes I would also have to bang on the door from the outside.

After you get it open, you will want to lube up all the interior lock/latch parts with a good graphite lubricant to keep it from happening again.

If the inside or outside handle cannot open the door and the inside lock button just goes up and down but nothing happened the door latch link has sparated from the latch
you may try this (worked on celica not sure about the camry)
Lower the window completely
using flashligt look in the gap inside the door try to get a good vision of the short thick metal link going to the door latch (doing that in the shade can be better then on the sun)
Fabricate a hook from the stiff wire
slide it into the door and grab the slot of that link
pull it up and pull the door out to open

I know it is very general but could work
