2nd Generation 1991 Camry Seats...Options?

Hey everyone! It's been a while since I have posted and i figured that once my Camry is boosted, yes, a boosted Camry, I plan on doing some interior work.

My question was, do any other Toyota Seats fit into the 1991 Camrys?
I was looking at some leather 1991 ES250 seats and MR2 seats.
Anyone have any idea about fittment from experience?

Thanks!

ES250 seats should bolt in just fine.

All other seats will require some amount of custom work.

I was able to put in 7th gen Celica GTS seats into my Alltrac Camry without much work (new/relocated feet/brackets on the rails).

(After that picture was taken, I cleaned up and re-painted painted the rails and plastics)

Only the seats and steering wheel are black... The rest of the interior just looks that way in the picture - it is the factory dark blue LE interior.

i did read you were pretty close to having everything you needed to turbo in another post...Id love to turbo mine, i HATE how there is zero power in 2nd gear while drifting in the snow lol.

you have any threads you could link on a "what you need to turbo?" Mainly, info on what needs done with the injectors and if tuning is needed...

Yeah i was close. pretty much just needed an mr2 manifold, and ct26 turbo.
I sold all of the other stuff to get my 3000GT running.
The idea keeps popping in and out of my head about trying it again.
But as far as finding out what you need, id search around here, but definitely GOOGLE 5SFE turbo kit. You will find a bunch of lists of stuff that you would need because a lot of mr2 and celica guys do it.

There's not a whole lot of detail to go into... The front brackets are at the right angle (close enough), but in the wrong place. The rear bolt holes are flat to the bottom of the rail, so I made my own mounts there with some 1/4" bar stock.

Actually, the process was like this:
- Cut off the stock mounts from the Celica seats (keep them in good condition)
- Place the front brackets in place, bolt them in
- Tack in the car, then weld out of the car a bar across the front mounts
- Cut and drill bar for the back side of the seat rails
- Carefully align and tack the seat rails down on the platform you have made
- Finish weld it up to be as strong as possible
- Cut out extra bar between the seat rails, paint, etc.

The picture above was taken before I cut off the extra material and painted everything up nice. You will also need to figure out a plan for the inner seat belt buckle and the hole that is left over after the new seats are put in (the Camry has 5 bolts, the Celica only uses 4).

Well, i can get those exact leather seats for $100...but i think im going to put them in the DSM. I have SUPER RARE black leather seats in the Talon, and i dont want to ruin them...

...There is also a set of cloth bucket seats out of a 90 something Celica, id like to put those in the Camry. It just sucks that my junker charges $50 per seat...weather its from a 2006 Celica and leather, or an 90 Ford Festia, old and cloth.
