1st & 2nd Generation (1983–1986 & 1987-1991)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1983-1986 & 1987-1991.
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
i was wondering if anyone knows the production numbers of our cars......
whats the rarest/most common: color, engine/tranny type, interior, sunroof, any option really....
i know the rarest is probably the manual LE alltrac, then slushbox alltrac etc...
*edit (forgot about the turbo deisel)*
im asking cause i might buy a new camry... 88 manual LE V6, now i dont see very many 5 speed camrys anyway, but with a V6 its only the 2nd ive seen....
That is very rare to see a V6 LE with a manual, you should get it if it is in good enough shape.

Leather from the factory on a Gen 2 is the rarest option in the US followed by a digital dash. A badass rare option is the Australia/Japanese powered rear shade.

Here's my camry ^
Current: B+G Springs, KYB GR2 Struts, Erebuni Bodykit(uninstalled), 3SGTE/E52 swap, Crane HI-6S Ignition Box, Crane Timing Retard Controller.
Plans: Here
The Gen2 JDM Camry GT. Came with the digital dash and i recently found out, the same brakes on my JDM Lumiere-G (4wheel disc) are the same on it as well.

I wish my old Camry had a digital dashboard, but alas, it was only a base model (not even a DX).
If I were to seek out another Gen2, I think I would specifically try to find a fully-loaded LE with the digital dash.
There were no AWD station wagons in the gen2 Camry (in the US, at least). The station wagons did come in all other trims/styles/engines though.

You read what I wrote wrong...
I wonder how rare a camry wagon without AWD is. It seems that there were either not many made originally, or that not many are left since I never see the old standard 4 cyl front wheel drive 2nd gen camry wagon around.
I have also seen 2nd gen camry wagons here in the US with AWD, so they do exist, though they could be from another country possibly.
