suspension

I live in SD and have an 86 Camry. Great little fixer upper i got. motor is stong and runs well, but the suspension is gone. was wondering if anyone knew wheer i could fine some really good springs. want to get some stiff ones and ones that ride a little lower then stock. also, what would be good shocks/struts to go with those springs.

There's pretty much nothing in terms of sports or lowered spring for the Gen1. Only thing really is stock stuff or OEM stuff. I've heard people on the forums using and recommending KYB stocks/strut. I'll let the rest of the crew chime in.

yeah, i looked at those a couple of times and thought about them. now, theres not a spring or strut/shock off any other car thatll fit an 86 is there?

IIRC 91-95 Celica GTS springs will work.

I'm looking into upgrading my suspension as well. There are a couple of people on here with lowered 1G's. Hopefully they will chime in.

I have a shitty Ebay front strut tower bar for an MKII MR2 that I might try to adapt to fit

After I finally get a new TV for the living room....
and get tires for my MR2's '98 wheels...
I'll be starting on the 1G's suspension. It's sooooo sloppy now it sucks. We keep commuting with it to work to keep mileage off the 6G (75+ miles a day round trip), but the sloppy suspension is taking away from what an enjoyable car this is to drive. Yes I said enjoyable. I <3 my 1G. Ridiculous cheap to maintain, good gas mileage, and always ready to go.... Plus I think it looks cool lol.

yeah, i love my 1 gen also. needs suspension so bad. and a tranny. trying to look for a 5 speed for it.

converting. the auto thats in it now is starting to go out and i prefer manuals.
