Post Replacement After Market Speakers

1990 Camry Wagon -- looking to upgrade factory speakers with some better quality ones. Haven't been able to find any 4inchers that would fit. Can anyone suggest speakers that are known to fit or requires minor modification? Thanks

eBay it, there are millions. I believe they're 3.5" front though? And 6 1/2" in the rear?

I remember seeing they were 4" in the front. The rears I don't know.

There will not be any 'plug and play' fronts. Both my Camry (85) and Cressida (87) used the 4" and I had to 'bend' the edige of the speaker so it'll fit. Also, you'll have to make something up so that way it'll connect. FActory speakers from Toyota usually have this proprietary connection. Normally people just cut the adapter off the speaker cable and just run it connect it from there.

Also, before I forget... I recommend you to buy some sound insulation for the speaker (surround area). This would prevent that annoying metal/plastic rattle noice. Also, don't expect almost any bass from the front, suggest bass blockers in the front.

Thanks for the prompt responses -- headed to ebay now -- bass blockers?, I'll need to research them.
