Removing the console?

I'm doing a grand remodeling of the interior of my new 1990 Camry.

I've gotten just about everything loose on the console, but there are three things holding the console back from being completely taken out. The ECT and Push Down Belt Release Lever buttons are connected to wires... I have a few repair manuals but I can't find anything on this particular issue. I don't want to pull the wires for fear of breaking them...

Last issue is the automatic shoulder belts. How do I disconnect them?

Unplug them?

You can reach through the opening where the center console storage box is (under your elbow). You need to remove that to get the last few screws up anyway.

Pop them out (up) and then unplug them. Or you can unplug them in place.

You don't necessarily have to remove the shoulder belts, but there is a bolt at the top you can access. You can also pull out the small trim at the base of the belt (after the rest of the console is loose, you can see how) then slide the belt out (if I remember correctly)
