Charcoal Canister

Hello Everyone. Thanks in advance for the help, and thanks TN for the great site!

I have a 1988 toyota camry 2.5L 2vz-fe automatic. My question is regaurding the charcoal canister. The two hoses and top are both still hooked up, but for some reason the one comming out the bottom is homeless now. It is metal and i cannot find where it goes. The metal pipe has a clean cut on the end, at an angle, and doesnt appear to have broken off. Which makes me believe there is a hose somewhere that connects to it.

Going to work, won't be home until 3 p.m. pacific time. Thanks again.

Look for a rubber grommet in lower crossmember, the line sits in that hole.

To add, that hose is open to the atmosphere, there is no other hose that connects to it.

got it

Well i found where i goes, thanks to everyones help. Just incase anyone else has the same problem, if you are looking under the car at the crossmemebers you will see a little hole next to a big nut. On top of that same crossmember is a hole for the pipe to go in. The pipe will not come out the other side but rest easily inside the "box" bulging from the cross member.

Thanks again everyone
