Where all door handles chrome?

The 1990 camry wagon I just bought had excellent records, so if the car was repainted I think it would have been in there. It doesn't look like it was repainted. But the strange thing is that the door handles are all body matched to the paint color of the car.

This is a base model car and the bumpers aren't even body color matched, they are black.

I have a 1990 SE that came with painted door handles to match the silver-blue body, and I've seen white handles as well. Pretty sure both were factory painted.

If you suspect the car was re-painted at one point, it shouldn't be hard to find the seam between the old and new paint somewhere.

My DX wagon has the body colored door handles from the factory.
