Clutch Change, 89 2.0i
Hi all, we need to replace the clutch on the Camry, and im looking for some help, never really changed a clutch on my own before, helped a guy do one on my old Citroen BX but that seemed simpler!!
So far, we have removed the starter, all electrical connections, and undone the gear linkages and clutch hydraulic line/slave cylinder from the transmission.
We have also removed the suspension crossmember and the left control arm, hub assembly and driveshaft.
My question is basically how to go about removing the right hand driveshaft, as it appears there is also a center shaft....is it just the same as the other side?
From here I feel we just need to remove the other driveshaft/hub assembly, then the gearbox mount, unbolt it from the motor and remove? Is it that simple?
We have the Haynes book of lies, but as it starts with the totally pointless step of removing the gearknob I cant trust it. They seem to be amazing at making things seem really complex but not offering any decent info!
Thanks in advance guys and girls...
