Getting a 1990 Camry Silver

Just wondering if I'm doing the right thing. I bumped into an ad about a 1990 Camry for sale. Has 150k Kms. Recent work on the car including replacements of parts such as timing belt, drive shafts, brakes, tune up, and exhaust I believe in the past year and a half at around 140k. Mint seats. Driver seat is always the most run down, but it's ok. Has power options except for mirrors and sunroof (shame).AC's a little weak, but a charge would make it icy cold. Clean trunk and carpet. However there are rust spots on the quarter panels and fenders and just a little bit surface rust on the underside of the body. $1500 certified. Just wanted to get some thoughts before I go ahead and take it

I also want to get opinions on the cost of fixing rust spots. Especially the ones that have bubbles under the paint

$1500 is too much considering the rust. The rust that has bubbled under the paint, the panel would need to be replaced, since the metal is too far gone. Choice is yours, if you're willing to put in the work to fix the rust, then talk down the price and go for it.

It's a nice car, but you can get a way better deal, I got my 89 Camry for $500 with a slight bit of rust on the quarter panel. You can get something like that for at least $700-$1000 depending on where you look.
